# Presets

> Manage reusable managed agent presets (agent configs) with the ag CLI

A **preset** is a reusable agent configuration: the repository, sandbox provider, Claude agent and environment IDs, and [skills](/docs/api-clients/ag/skills) that a [session](/docs/api-clients/ag/sessions) starts from. Presets are the same objects as **Agent Configs** in the [Managed agents](/docs/ax/agents/build-your-own-agent) UI.

`ag preset`, `ag presets`, and `ag agents` are the same command.

## `ag preset list`

List presets available to your account.

ag preset list [--limit <n>] [--columns <list>] [--output <fmt>]
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--limit` | Maximum presets to list (default: 50) |
| `--columns` | Comma-separated columns for text output (default: `id,name,provider,repo,updated_at`). Available: `id`, `name`, `provider`, `repo`, `claude_agent_id`, `claude_env_id`, `updated_at` |

**Example:**

ag preset list --columns id,name,repo
```

## `ag preset show`

Print one preset.

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light-default","dark":"github-dark-default"}}
ag preset show <preset-id> [--output <fmt>]
```

## `ag preset create`

Create a preset. Only `--name` is required.

```bash theme={"theme":{"light":"github-light-default","dark":"github-dark-default"}}
ag preset create --name <name> [--repo <name-or-url>] [--provider-id <id>] [--claude-agent-id <id>] [--claude-env-id <id>] [--skill <name-or-id>]...
```

| Option | Description |
| - | - |
| `--name` | Preset name (required). Names must be unique if you want to reference the preset by name in `ag session create`. |
| `--repo` | Repository URL or name the agent clones |
| `--provider-id` | Sandbox provider ID |
| `--claude-agent-id` | Claude managed agent ID |
| `--claude-env-id` | Claude managed environment ID |
| `--skill` | Skill name or ID to attach. Repeatable. `--integration` is a deprecated alias. |

**Example:**

ag preset create --name "oncall-preset" --repo "github.com/org/repo" --skill github-default
```

## `ag preset update`

Change one or more fields on a preset. Omitted fields are left unchanged.

ag preset update <preset-id> [--name <name>] [--repo <name-or-url>] [--provider-id <id>] [--claude-agent-id <id>] [--claude-env-id <id>] [--skill <name-or-id>]...
```

| `--name` | New name |
| `--repo` | New repository |
| `--provider-id` | New sandbox provider ID |
| `--claude-agent-id` | New Claude managed agent ID |
| `--claude-env-id` | New Claude managed environment ID |
| `--skill` | Skill name or ID. Repeatable. |

**Example:**

ag preset update <preset-id> --name "oncall-preset-v2"
```

## `ag preset delete`

Delete a preset. Existing sessions that started from it are not affected.

ag preset delete <preset-id>
```
